ZIS. is a versatile singer/songwriter from Berlin/Potsdam. Her music is a mixture of Pop and Rock Songs with folk influences referring to her musical roots. Growing up in pop and indie focussed 90th, ZIS. was also inspired by great artists of the 60th and 70th like Bob Dylan, Neil Young and Simon & Garfunkel.
She started singing in her early childhood in different choir formation. Later she joined small band projects and began to play acoustic guitar, took saxophone lesson and experimented with various instruments. This had an important influence on her artistic development and attitude. ZIS. is also a member of the Village Voices, a successful Rythm´n`Jazz Vocal Group from Berlin.
With brand new songs and great ambition up her sleeve, ZIS. initiated her Solo-Project in 2015, when she met producer and musician Mario Engstermann. They created that unique and fresh pop sound with a touch of retro, that contrasts her metaphorical and mainly dark-coloured lyrics. ZIS. released her first EP „Mind in Motion“ in January 2016. ZIS. ist eine vielfältige Singer/Songwriterin aus Berlin/Potsdam. Ihre Musik ist ein Mix aus Pop und Rock Songs mit Einflüssen aus dem Folk, den sie als ihre musikalischen Wurzeln bezeichnet. Aufgewachsen mit der Pop und Indie Musik der 90er, ließ sich ZIS. ebenso von den großen Künstlern der 60er und 70er Jahre wie Bob Dylan, Neil Young und Simon & Garfunkel inspirieren.
Sie fing in ihrer frühen Kindheit an in verschiedenen Chören zu singen. Später war sie in kleinen Band Projekten involviert und begann Akustik Gitarre zu spielen, nahm Saxophon Unterricht und experimentierte mit diversen Instrumenten. Dies hatte einen wichtigen Einfluss auf ihre künstlerische Entwicklung und Einstellung. ZIS. ist zudem Mitglied bei den Village Voices, einer erfolgreichen Rhythm`n`Jazz Vocal Group aus Berlin.
Mit neuen Songs und großen Ambitionen im Gepäck startete ZIS. 2015 ihr Soloprojekt als sie den Produzenten und Musiker Mario Engstermann kennenlernte. Sie kreierten diesen besonderen und frischen Pop Sound mit einem Touch Retro, der im Kontrast zu ihren metaphorischen und eher dunklen Texten steht.
